I tell you what, for those who celebrate, there’s certainly no shortage of ways to get into the Halloween spirit these days!
Between school parties, neighborhood trick-or-treating, an annual favorite festivity at the park, and even a couple of opportunities to go trick-or-treating with our senior friends… Halloween has become quite the thing!
First up on the Loop Calendar is Saturday’s Halloween in the Park courtesy of the Copley Police Department. If you’ve not been before, the gist is that local businesses line the walking path at decorated tables and hand out goodies to costumed kids.
(Side note: that path happens to be one of the walking options for Walktober, so it’s a community event two-fer!)
Your classic neighborhood trick-or-treating comes on Sunday. If you’re not out walking with your own littles, be ready to turn on that porch light to sugar-up everyone else’s!
And if that’s not enough sweetness for you, here’s a couple extra Halloween treats to love: you’ll find two local senior communities on the Loop Calendar, too, inviting little trick-or-treaters to join in the fun.
The Auberge at Greenfield Estates, a memory care community, is hosting trick-or-treating this Saturday. Then, next Wednesday, Brookdale Montrose will welcome trick-or-treaters, too! With independent living, assisted living, and memory care, Brookdale brings together residents at different stages of life, and both events offer such a fun way to share a little Halloween magic across generations.
I mean… who doesn’t love seeing a tiny superhero, a mini-witch, or an adorably roaring dinosaur come around asking for candy? And let’s not forget the joy that all those costumes and smiling faces will bring to the residents!
It seems that Halloween in Copley isn’t just one night of knocking on doors. It’s a whole collection of chances to get out, have some fun, share a few treats, and make memories.
Just remember to pace yourselves, my friends, and have a whole lot of fun out there.
May your costumes be clever, your candy bags be full, and your Halloween be frightfully fun!
