Is it just me, or does the first day of Fall often feel like this?
Like Mother Nature flipped a switch somewhere, and we’ve gone straight from flip flops and short sleeves to rain boots and jackets.
My husband’s been talking about “soup season” for weeks already, and I wasn’t feelin’ it before, but I certainly am now!
And, oh, the events popping up, and the plans being made…
It’s one thing to keep your face to the sun during “back to school” season, but it’s quite another to see Copley Township’s brush collection and annual Recycle Day on the calendar. Because those words speak of cleaning house and preparing for the cold, so then you know Halloween in the Park and Trick-or-Treat night are right around the corner.
Blink, and it’s the holiday season, with Thanksgiving and the Circle Lighting. And those both open the doors to weeks of running around until we all crash and curl up in front of fireplaces and under blankets for one blissfully quiet week before heading back to reality in the new year.
Does it sound like I’m wishing our lives away here? My apologies! My head is just a bit ahead of the game these days. And the weather isn’t the only reason why.
There’s also Path to Presents!
Our Chamber committee is in the thick of bringing this year’s plans to life, and it may be too early to say too much yet, but we’re really excited to share them with you.
There is one thing I can tell you right now, and that one thing is this: at the time of this writing, last year’s information is still on the Path to Presents page of our website, but updates to that page will begin VERY soon!
So if you feel like keeping your own head just a bit ahead of the game, too, feel free to check in now and then to see what we’re up to. You might just catch some news before announcements are made!
(Keep an eye on those timelines, my friends, so you’re ready when the Path opens…)
In the meantime, embrace those rain boots and jackets, and bring on soup season!
