Alright, so I know it’s a little crazy to be looking at a collage of Heritage Day photos up there right now. I’ll be honest, it felt a little crazy to be putting that collage together – it may have been 50 degrees out there today, but it is still only February!
But here’s the thing I really want to put out there…
Next Wednesday, March 5th, the Heritage Day Committee is meeting at Copley Town Hall at 6:00, and that committee could use some help.
Now, you may be wondering what type of help I mean. Maybe you’re imagining big help that takes many hours. Maybe you’re imagining little help that you can do on your own. Or maybe you’re imagining something in between.
What the committee really needs, though, is any and all of the above!
They could use, for instance:
- Someone to come to the meetings, take notes, then send those notes to committee members afterward.
- Someone to communicate with vendors, answer their questions, and ensure they’ve sent in their information and paid potential fees.
- Someone (or several someones!) willing and able to raise their hands and shout, “I’ll do that!” when there’s a call to be made, an email to be sent, or a nagging question to be researched.
So whether you think you’re one of those someones or you’re a different kind of someone with your own idea to pursue, we want to see you next week!
