Please join us as we once again celebrate National Root Beer Float Day on Thursday, August 6, from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Residence Inn Akron Fairlawn!
This event holds a special place in Marriott history. The Marriott story began in 1927 with a small A&W root beer stand in Washington, D.C., opened by J. Willard and Alice Marriott. That humble beginning eventually grew into the global hospitality company we know today, making Root Beer Float Day a fun tradition that honors our roots while bringing our community together.
We’ll be serving delicious root beer floats for a minimum $3 donation, and selling commemorative CMN cups for $5, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Every donation helps provide life-changing care, critical medical equipment, and essential support for children and families in our local community.
