Think you know Copley?
Well, we’re about to find out! Because the Heritage Day Committee has created a fun new way to test your local knowledge while celebrating this place we call home.
Beginning July 1st, you can take part in the first ever Heritage Day Scavenger Hunt — a month-long adventure that will have you exploring local landmarks, familiar places, and hidden gems you may have never noticed before.
Here’s how it works:
Register for the hunt to receive your own unique link. Then, start tracking down locations throughout the community using teaser photos and clever clues. Need a little help? Each stop includes an optional extra hint if you get stuck.
Once you think you’ve found the right place, simply head there and check in through your unique link to earn a point for every correct location you discover.
Feeling impatient? You can reveal the answer… but where’s the fun in that? Plus, revealing a location means giving up the point, and only hunters who earn every point will be eligible for a prize.
The hunt runs all month long, through Friday, July 31st. On Saturday, August 1st, be one of the first explorers to stop by the Heritage Day Information Booth during the main festivities at Copley Community Park and show your completed passport. If you’ve really found them all, you’ll receive a prize (while supplies last)!
What kind of prize?
Well… that would ruin the surprise! 😉
Fair warning: the committee might just add more locations over time, you never know, so don’t be surprised if the adventure grows along the way. Be sure to check the location list throughout the month to make sure you haven’t missed a new spot!
Whether you’re a lifelong resident or brand new to the area, this is a fun excuse to get out, explore Copley, celebrate our community, and see it all with fresh eyes.
Ready to start hunting? Your first clue is waiting!
